Charges raised against two Iranians for rowdy behaviour in hospital

Charges have been pressed against two male Iranian citizens for shouting and acting violently last March when they were forced to stay in a hospital as a result of suspected Covid infection, the chief public prosecutor’s office said on Friday.

Several Iranian citizens were taken under epidemiological supervision in a Budapest hospital on March 7, 2020, the office said. The two suspects,

aged 24 and 23,

were taken to the hospital for testing in the afternoon. After being told that were not allowed to leave, they shouted and refused to cooperate with hospital staff before climbing out of a window to a terrace and going to other rooms in the hospital, despite being told to stay in their room. 1. Dear Daily News Hungary
You are not allowed to announce a report with mentioning specifically nationality of people. This report will cause pessimistic point of view for Iranian citizens living in Hungary and also this kind of reports will increase more discrimination in society and for sure It is against Human Right.

  2. What are you talking about Reza? DNH has reported crimes committed by nationalities and not just Iranians. DNH has reported about crimes Hungarians committed abroad and in Hungary.

So yeah, DNH had the right to inform readers about crimes being committed by individuals from and outside of Hungary

  3. Dear The Realist
Hungary as a member of EU and UN should avoid reports which consequence discrimination in society and it is about all nationalities not specifically Iranians.
DHN can inform people without mentioning people nationality because nationality of a people or skin color doesn’t have any role in what he or she is doing.
And about Hungarians, when we talk about 9 million Hungarians inside of Hungary it is obvious they are not going to discriminate themselves inside of thire own country . so the result is not the same and these two topic is totally different.

  4. If charges have been pressed the two Iranians could even be named. If you look at news items from other countries they give out the nationality. It’s nothing to do with discrimination, it’s about reporting news to which the public are entitled to know and that means including their nationalities. These two Iranians portrayed appalling destructive behaviour which no doubt was frightening for other patients and staff to witness. Name and shame.
